Read an article written by Dr. Arthur Weissman, President of Green Seal, for the National Hotel Executive Hospitality Newswire: www.hotelexecutive.com/newswire/pub/_1184.asp

Environmentally sound - Green - hotels, resorts, and conference centers incorporate energy-efficiency, environmental management, and natural resource stewardship in their design, construction, and operations. Green Lodging and Eco-Tourism are growth sectors for the hospitality industry, as increasing numbers of clients are seeking environmentally friendly venues for business and leisure travel. Hotels and conference centers are being asked to provide Green Meeting options for public and private organizations who have adopted sustainability policies. At the same time the lodging industry is seeking ways to reduce operating costs, while providing special amenities to customers.

Attend "Greening the Hospitality Industry Conference" to learn from private businesses and federal and state government leaders who are proponents, practitioners, and technical experts in the Green Hospitality industry field. The conference will present case studies, updates on new Green hospitality industry guidelines, and "hands-on" workshops on "Greening your Facility" and "How to Plan a Green Meeting".
