Dave Bassage
Dave Bassage
serves as chief administrator of the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection Office of Innovation, which works
to foster creative processes to engage all West Virginians in ensuring a sustainable future for the state. Prior to joining
DEP in May 2000, Dave founded and led Friends of the Cheat, a watershed organization devoted to addressing the severe acid
mine drainage problems of the Cheat River watershed through a cooperative effort between industry, government, citizens, and
academia.
Dave is a 1981 graduate of Earlham College in Richmond, IN, with a B.A. in Mathematics.
