Tom Griffin

Tom Griffin is the Outreach Coordinator for the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality's Office of Pollution Prevention. Tom is responsible for program coordination, resource development, public recognition events, and training and marketing for targeted programs and industries. He has worked in the pollution prevention field since 1996, and he previously worked for DEQ in Environmental Impact/NEPA Review. Tom has also worked in Resource Management for the VA Dept of Conservation & Recreation's Division of State Parks and in the private sector as an Environmental Consultant. Educational background includes a BA in Economics from UVA; a Certificate in Environmental Studies from VCU (Virginia Commonwealth University); and a Masters in Environmental Planning from VCU.

Tom manages the activities of the Virginia EnvironmentaLodging program, the Virginia DEQ's voluntary initiative to promote Pollution Prevention techniques in the hospitality industry.
