Bill Meade
Bill
Meade is a Vice President with PA Government Services in Washington, DC. Bill heads PA's environment and tourism unit in the
Infrastructure and Development Services practice. He has nearly 20 years international experience in energy and environmental
management. He has led assignments supporting government agencies in the design and implementation of environmental impact assessment,
environmental management, pollution prevention and pollution control. More recently, Bill has developed a series of products and
services for the tourism sector. He is currently project director for multi-year USAID-funded programs in Egypt, Jamaica and the
Eastern Caribbean working at both the property level as well as the destination level, where he has spearheaded the introduction of
voluntary environmental management systems (EMS) certification.
Bill also assists private hotel companies and groups to develop corporate and property-level programs. Bill holds a BA in energy and
environmental studies from Brown University, and has attended graduate and professional training courses in environmental law,
environmental auditing, pollution prevention, and rural environmental management. Bill sits on the Governing Council of the Caribbean
Alliance for Sustainable Tourism, chairs the board of the Certified Hotel Environmental Manager, and is a guest lecturer at George
Washington University and Cornell University.
